Drifting

As a business owner and entrepreneur one must always look for advise and counsel on how to improve and grow as well as the regular sanity check on whether the decisions taken are the correct ones. Although it is incredibly difficult to know for sure whether a decision is the correct one and at the end of the day you may feel that no one knows your business as well as you do and you may very well be right especially if you are being disruptive. I would like to tell you that there are always 3 possible solutions to most problems and we often think of one especially when we are busy.

Receiving counsel is an art in itself in my opinion and core to the entrepreneurial soul. I have been fortunate enough to have several advisors and usually highly successful friends as advisors on business level as well as other advisors on a clinical level for Clinic To Cloud.  Today however I met someone with whom i spent a fair amount of time, sharing about Clinic To Cloud and how we got where we are and where we plan to be in the short, medium and long term. I was fortunate enough to receive some great strategic advice that I agree with, however:

I would like to share one statement that resonated with me : "Rafic, if you are not driving this business to the edge and drifting back and pushing the engine to the limits then you are not doing it right"

As mentioned, this person was extremely kind in offering several pieces of high level and strategic advice that sounded like they were tailored for my business. It felt like he knew my business intimately and all the exciting and troubling components of the business and it made me realise once again how important it was to receive advice and be surrounded by more intelligent people than yourself that can add value and keep you on the right path or more importantly get you off the wrong one.

At Clinic To Cloud we are on boarding clients every day, training new clients, supporting existing clients, creating new training content, adding new features, creating new markets, innovating and loving every minute of every day.
