At a recent RANZCOG (Obstetric and Gynaecology) event the delegates were surprised to learn that they could essentially use any internet enabled device, whether it be a smart phone or tablet using either Android or Ios to be able to have access to their practice, clinicals and patient information from anywhere at anytime.
Currently in order for doctors to access their patient record remotely, then need a laptop, internet, connect to an office or server, open an application, wait, login, wait and then search for the patient that they want to review. This is the same if they want to generate a script or op report or even review pathology or imaging results.
